This 350 sq.m residence was built for family and entertaining with a budget of $1.5 million, with ocean views, overlooking Wedding Cake Island in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.
Lexie Vatavalis, the interior architect worked closely on the project with CMH Architects right from the concept stage to its completion. The internal planning successfully integrates connecting spaces and living areas with comfortable fluidity.
The volume sequence, with double height cut-outs, split levels and half height walls, promotes internal and external sightlines and is linked by a dynamic floating staircase. The collaborative interior reflects the seamlessness of the overall design by echoing architectural motifs within and through a detailed selection of finishes. Specialist finishes on key surfaces been selected to offset the building’s clean lines with contrast and texture.
