City Graphics, Canberra, 1993

A raw industrial warehouse of 450 sq.m was transformed into the headquarters of a successful graphic design studio.

The high ceilings facilitated a mezzanine level to house the boardroom that cantilevered over the waiting area, connected to the offices of the senior designers by a checker-plated bridge.

Essentially an open plan layout, the space is accentuated by cleverly placed curved sculptural walls defining the more formal spaces.

The perimeter walls were clad in a combination of exposed face brickwork and brick veneer panels to achieve the desired sense of scale and warmth.
